HVAC Guardian helps you track your home's equipment, remember its maintenance and repair history, and get AI-assisted guidance about it.

It is not a licensed contractor, and it is not a substitute for one.

The AI assistant provides general information and educated guesses. It can be wrong. It cannot see your equipment, hear it running, test it, or measure anything. Its advice is based on what you tell it and what it can read from photos you send.

You are responsible for deciding what to do with the information the app gives you. If you are not confident in a repair, hire a licensed professional.

Heating and cooling equipment involves gas, electricity, combustion, and pressurized refrigerant. These can kill you.

Never rely on this app for a safety-critical decision.

• If you smell gas, leave the building immediately and call your gas company or 911 from outside. Do not open the app.
• If you suspect carbon monoxide, get everyone out and call 911.
• Do not perform work on gas lines, high-voltage wiring, or refrigerant circuits unless you are qualified and licensed to do so.

Any DIY guidance the app provides is offered on the understanding that you are choosing to do the work, and you accept the risk of doing it. We are not supervising you, we cannot see what you're doing, and we are not responsible for the outcome.

You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent.

Some features require a paid subscription.

• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, not by us directly.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, under their policies — not by us.

The free tier includes a limited number of AI messages per month. Paid tiers include higher limits and additional properties. Current limits are shown in the app.

We may change pricing or limits, but we'll tell you before a change affects an existing subscription.

Don't:

• Use the app to do anything illegal
• Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or access other users' data
• Resell or redistribute the app or its AI responses as your own service
• Use automated tools to send AI messages at scale

We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things.

The equipment details, photos, and records you add are yours. We don't claim ownership of them.

You grant us permission to store and process them for the purpose of running the app — which includes sending relevant details to our AI provider so the assistant can answer your questions. See the Privacy Policy for exactly who touches your data.

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

We don't promise that:

• The AI's advice is correct, complete, or suitable for your situation
• The app will always be available or free of bugs
• Following the app's maintenance schedule will prevent equipment failure
• Any recommendation will save you money or extend your equipment's life

Maintenance intervals in the app are general guidance based on industry practice. Your equipment's real needs depend on its condition, your climate, your usage, and things the app cannot see.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including property damage, equipment failure, injury, or lost money resulting from acting (or not acting) on information the app provided.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use HVAC Guardian after a change means you accept the new terms.

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
