Your account. Your email address and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your password in readable form.

What you tell us about your home. The equipment you add (type, brand, model and serial numbers, fuel, age, location in the home), your properties (name, address, ZIP, size, year built, pets), your maintenance records, and your repair history including any costs and contractor names you enter.

Photos you take or upload. Equipment photos, data plates, and repair invoices. These are stored in our secure cloud storage and are only accessible to you.

Your conversations with the AI assistant. Your messages and its replies are saved so the assistant can remember your history and so you can revisit past conversations.

Basic usage counts. How many AI messages you've sent this month, so we can apply plan limits.

• We do not track your location.
• We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data to anyone. Ever.
• We do not read your contacts, calendar, or other apps' data.
• We do not access your camera or photo library except when you explicitly choose to take or attach a photo.

Everything above exists for one reason: so the app can actually be useful to you. Your equipment details let the assistant give advice about your system instead of a generic one. Your repair history lets it spot recurring problems. Your address lets it warn you about weather at your property.

We don't collect anything we don't use.

We use these services to run the app. They process your data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it:

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic (Claude) — powers the AI assistant. Your messages, and the equipment context relevant to your question, are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models.
• TomTom — powers address autocomplete. When you type an address, the partial text is sent to TomTom to fetch suggestions.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. There is no third party receiving your information for their own purposes.

The assistant provides general guidance, not professional certification. It can be wrong. It is not a substitute for a licensed technician, especially for anything involving gas, electricity, refrigerant, or combustion safety.

If you smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide, leave the building and call your gas company or 911. Do not use the app to diagnose it.

Delete your account at any time. Settings → Delete Account. This permanently erases your account, your equipment, your photos, your repair history, and your conversations from our systems. It is not a soft delete — the data is gone.

Export or access your data. Email us at [ty@walkersheatingcooling.com] and we'll provide a copy of what we hold about you.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that one user cannot read another's records. Photos are stored in private buckets, not public URLs.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. But we don't store anything we don't need, which is the best protection there is.

HVAC Guardian is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app if the change is material.
